First off, I would like to state that i do remember the time i stated i would never drive down to Cali and then back to Las Vegas in the same day…

With that said…. SHONEN VEGAS in conjunction with KHAMOMEAL TEA COSPLAY decided that shit i said 5 years ago no longer apply and i present to you our (very poorly documented) one day run to the LA fabric district and Little Tokyo.  All in all it was a good time, and really i can’t remember why i made that resolution in the first place.  Or as Kham seemed to describe it… FUCK YEAH

Trolling those who hotlink

For some reason, tonight I’m just in the mood to troll people.  I’m sure you’ve noticed but the site got a bit of an overhaul on New Years.  On the back end we even had to move to a new server that supported the latest version of Word Press so we could properly get things working.  With that said, i still have access to said files on the old site but have not quite gotten around to importing all of the previous content… namely the images.

Most of them will be moved in due time and thats all well and good.  But one thing about the new site is it alerts me to 404 errors.  Mostly in case i screw something up.  HOWEVER, lately it has been flagging me for images.  Images that i have not imported… NOR have i linked to my site.  Thusly i realized what was going on… HOT-LINKING

Now i’m not one to knock on people for doing dumb things, but there are 2 reasons that you shouldn’t hot link.

1. you are stealing other people’s bandwidth.  -  normally not a problem. i don’t generate enough traffic, nor do you, to max out my bandwidth.  BUT the real problem is…

2. People can change said image and rename it whatever they want and fuck with your site.
