I’m sure you have heard us make comments about how Anime LA was made awesome by meeting awesome people. One of those people is Masa, who appropriately cosplayed the character Date Masamune from Basara. In fact, it is somewhat Masa’s fault that we are now planning a new cosplay for the next convention we are attending. You may have noticed the nifty new link on the right for Fanime…
A few pics have been uploaded from Anime LA of Ikuto and Utau Tsukiyomi. Thanks to Khamomeal Tea for making small but necessary fixes to the costume and also for cosplaying Utau Tsukiyomi.
As I sit back in Las Vegas, I have had time to sleep and properly absorb Anime LA. I can say without any doubt that it was a good convention. Here is a quick breakdown of my thoughts (chris), and i will see if i can get Anime-x to make a quick post with his thoughts later on today. All ratings are set out of 10.
While it is a personal pet peeve of mine to acknowledge day 0 as a part of the convention, I do admit that useful things do happen. Badge pick up, hotel check in, some really lazy cosplay… But I’m not in LA yet so I’m getting ahead of myself.
What I’m currently writing about is basically my preparation for Anime LA. I wouldn’t say that ‘anticipation’ is the right word. I mean, I have heard some pretty impressive things about this convention. Almost on par with the level of awesome with other successful cons (Sakura con and PAX prime come to mind… interesting how both of those are in Seattle)
And I won’t lie… this kind of worries me.
